Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs: A docent lecture

This lecture complements the glorious exhibition of more than 130 great treasures from the ancient Egyptian tombs of King Tutankhamun, his royal predecessors, his family, and officials of the court, including four wonderful discoveries from his tomb that have been
added for the San Francisco venue.
The exhibition at the de Young Museum will be held from June 27, 2009 through March 28,2010.
Fantastic Trash:Recycle, Reuse, Recreate
Friday, July 243 p.m.
Please join us for a craft class using found objects and recycled items. Younger kids will fashion hats from grocery bags, while older kids create recycled sculptures made from objects brought or scavenged from home.
For children of all ages.

Specialists will be bringing live insects for kids to observe and have hands-on time with. For ages 5 and up. This is a green stacks program.
Film Screening : Grizzly Road
Grizzly Road: The Last Days of the California GrizzlySaturday, July 11 at 3:00pm
Director Sabrina Alonso will present her documentary Grizzly Road. An estimated 10,000 California Grizzly Bears once roamed the state. One hundred years ago the last of their kind was reported shot. Grizzly Road explores the circumstances that led to the decimation of these great bears. A question and answer session with Ms. Alonso will follow the screening of the documentary.
